THE CREATION
Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel created Eau de Rhubarbe Écarlate in 2016. An unexpected interpretation of Hermès Cologne that reinvents the astonishing freshness of a herbaceous plant: rhubarb.
OLFACTORY NOTES
A fruity and citrus fragrance, Eau de Rhubarbe Écarlate Cologne expresses the freshness of crisp rhubarb and tart lantana combined with elegant notes of musk.
THE OBJECT
The iconic lantern bottle is wrapped in a scarlet red hue. On the orange case, a stripe replicating the colour of the bottle creates an interesting contrast.
THE HERMÈS COLOGNE COLLECTION
Hermès Colognes constitute an infinite and virtuous playing field, exploring the sensoriality of materials. They reflect an immediate and generous pleasure, transcending gender, fashion, age or season.

«I have always liked the duality of rhubarb. And it is a duality in both sense and smell. Its green colour metamorphoses into red. From acidic and crunchy, its scent becomes soft and velvety.» Christine Nagel
Eau de rhubarbe écarlate is Christine Nagel's first cologne for Hermès. New and bold, more vegetal than citrus, it offers the crisp, tangy freshness of velvety rhubarb with white musks.
