MADAME GRÈS' TRIP TO INDIA

Cabochard by Grès is a “Eau de Toilette“ for women included in the aromatic citrus family. It is a perfume whose inspiration was born in India, during one of the trips of Madame Grès, the founder of the firm. She was so fascinated by its landscapes and aromas that she decided to capture them in her new creation, and so Cabochard was born.

This fragrance was launched in 1959 by the perfumer Bernard Chant. It is an intense and revolutionary aroma in its time, as it includes among its notes, masculine aromas and practically unusual in the female field of perfumery. However, it reflects sophistication and elegance, and depicts a woman fleeing from the ordinary to enter an unexplored world.

Its olfactory pyramid combines and intermingles hundreds of aromas from the eastern continent, spicy, fruity, aromatic and floral notes, in combination with citrus fruits and even tobacco and leather. An unthinkable fusion that creates a unique, indescribable and unmistakable ending.
