Great Dry Oil - Top 1
Dry oil is a basic product if you don't wash your hair daily but want to keep it protected and looking healthy and shiny. I have tried the Nuxe and Nuxe with golden particles, Rene Furterer 5 Sens Huile, the 4 of L'Oréal Extraordinary Oil (the worst and they smell horrible, bad buy), Sebastian Dark Oil, Tigi Blow Out Balm and others cheaper. The Nuxe are made from coconut caprylate and vegetable oils. It is the only true 'oil' and that is why it is the one that gives the most shine and the one that leaves the most greasy touch. 5 Sens Huile is made from various emollients and vegetable oils, has less oil than Nuxe and is better for frizz. The others are made from volatile and water-soluble silicones (they do not accumulate with washing and the excess product evaporates) + oils and vegetable extracts. The best of all are Dark Oil and Splendor Essence. The latter leaves more shine, no greasy feeling and has plant stem cells, the hair feels more careful with frequent use and the effect is very natural. The only downside is the smell, between floral and sweet raspberry. Dark Oil brings some sun protection just like Tigi's, and is more unisex, with a cedar and sandalwood fragrance that blends well with the natural scent of hair. Splendor Essence is my favorite, but I would change the perfume for something more discreet and add some sunscreen.
