Types of illuminators

Currently on the market, we can find different highlighters depending on their composition and texture. Each of the different textures has a specific function:

• Powder highlighters . They're perfect for oily skin, thanks to their lightness. These products can be applied directly to the skin or after applying foundation. They can be used evenly on the face or in strategic areas to concentrate light in specific areas.
• Liquid highlighters. This is the most common format currently. Their texture makes them highly versatile and allows us to create various visual effects. They are easy to spread and very light, and they also provide a feeling of hydration to the skin. Being liquid, they are ideal for dry skin, as they will provide extra hydration. They are usually applied over foundation; however, we can also mix a little product with our usual base coat to achieve an overall luminous finish.
• Cream highlighters. They can be used on any skin type and are easy to apply to the face. It's recommended to apply them over a foundation.
