THE CREATION
Created by Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel, Un Jardin à Cythère Eau de Toilette is a surprising garden, neither green nor flowery, but… golden. The expression of an olfactory quest through the Peloponnese that leads to Kythera, a protected Greek island that has inspired numerous artists.
OLFACTORY NOTES
Un Jardin à Cythère Eau de Toilette, a citrus and woody fragrance, combines the enveloping character of grasses with the strength of olive wood and the tenderness of fresh pistachio.
THE OBJECT
The bottle, designed by Fred Rawyler, is inspired by the lines of old car headlights. The glass comes to life with a gradient of luminous yellows, in line with the sunny fragrance it contains. On the case, artist Elias Kafouros sketches a colourful landscape of his homeland: the golden grass, the green of olive trees, the pink of fresh pistachios and, in the background, the blue of the sea.
THE PARFUMS-JARDINS COLLECTION
The Parfums-Jardins collection is the meeting point between the essence of a place, the perfumer's source of inspiration and the theme that Hermès chooses each year to illustrate its creations. An olfactory journey that invites you to enjoy every shared moment and to pursue the desire for freshness, to dream and to escape.
How to use:
- To prolong the scent for longer, apply your fragrance to the inside of your wrists and behind your earlobes. These pulse points have a higher temperature than the rest of the body, and this will help the fragrance evaporate more slowly.
- Applying perfume directly to clothing can stain, damage and alter the fabric.
